Coronado
California is San Diego's resort community, enchanting travelers
from near and far. Today, Coronado is still San Diego's resort
community with more legendary hotels creating the magic for a
new century. Joining the historic Hotel Del Coronado (pictured
at right) are two world-class Coronado hotels, Coronado Island
Marriott Resort, and Loews Coronado Bay Resort. There's also a
former sugar baron's mansion, a restored Victorian home, a Mission-style
hotel, and an inn once known as the "Blue Lantern."
On our friendly island, you'll find the resort ambiance that makes
a vacation memorable. Unique shopping destinations where you'll
find true treasures. More than 70 restaurants. Sidewalk cafes.
Theatres. Tree-lined streets of Victorian homes and California
bungalows. Beaches. Bays. Biking. Trolley tours of North Island
Naval Air Station with its giant aircraft carriers. Sailboats.
Paddleboats. Ferryboats. You'll find the charms of yesteryear
hand in hand with today's "must have" amenities and indulgences.
And, you'll find a refreshing small-town spirit just a two minute
drive over the bridge from downtown San Diego. When you plan your
next vacation, visit San Diego and stay in Coronado. A ride across
the bay will take you back to a bygone era. But, be careful, you
may find so much to do on our enchanted island, you'll never want
to leave!
